I wanna talk about this shot in the last scene and what it implies.

First up, Vi isn't wearing shoes and her hands are bare. She's totally at ease, not prepared for a fight or expecting to go outside anytime soon. What does this mean? She's probably moved in with Caitlyn. There are two chairs set up in front of the fire. It's a peaceful and domestic scene. Like Vi said in the very last line of the series- they're in this for the long haul together. Nothing is gonna separate them.

Secondly (which backs up my u-hauling theory), look at the glass Vi is holding. It isn't one of those fancy gold Piltovan wine cups. It looks to be one of Vander's fancy whiskey tumblers. As far as I can remember we only them in 2 places. One was The Last Drop, where Vander served Silco and Felicia during the flashback (also in Silco's office after he took over.) The other place was the hideout in the mine.

Jinx burned down The Last Drop in the beginning of the finale, so the one Vi is holding must be the one from the bedrock base. It implies that she went back to the Last Drop, probably looking for anything of hers or her family's that might've survived the years. Anything Jinx left behind. Maybe she took Caitlyn along. It's fitting that the one thing we see Vi brings into the future with her is the last cup left of the three, taken from a place that once planned a revolution. The very first place of what could have been. The glass itself is a vessel of the proverbial "last drop." The work continues and the drink still flows, down from the past generations and through Vi, into her new home with Caitlyn. The last drop is the spirit of change, and now it's their turn to be it's vessel.

Anyway ya I play Animar, Soul of Elements mostly. I'm not exactly playing meta because I really like hydras so the deck is build around them. It's decently powerful tho, and I'm actually polishsing it up to be even better. It's one of the stronger decks in my playgroup, not really through direct power but through consistency.

I've worked really hard on making the deck consistent, doing The Thing every time. I definitely have my crazy pop off games where I manage to turn an entire game around in a turn and kill three opponents in a single combat. But that's very rare and usually relies on another deck giving me some kind of boost (usually through obscene card draw).

Most of the time, doing The Thing for me is just, a decent amount of ramp, my commander out, a couple creatures, and a couple big hydras. With that, I'm a solid threat in the midgame, and can snowball into the lategame. Even if I lose, as long as I did The Thing, I'm usually happy. So the deck is just a dream to play, it helps that (at least in my playgroup) I win more games than I lose.

I want my next deck to be Thantiss, The Warweaver. I think her abilities are really neat and there's lots of room to fuck around with combat with her. Buuuuuuut, classes have been eating me alive and I keep taking the deck in stupid directions. I want to finish it over winter break and have it printed for when my club starts meeting again.

Dr. Madison Li looks cool. I don't really get energy counters at all, it always feels like unless you're running an energy deck then any card that uses energy is useless. Li seems like a good fix for that though, though I wish it was "artifact ETB" and not "cast artifact spell". Other than that, the toolbox nature of her seems really neat. I bet she's a fun comm to play!

It's ten at night and I can't stop thinking about Dragon, Kuma and Iva founding the revolutionary army together and how close they were and a lot of fandom only speculated they were close by inference but it's basically canon that they were CLOSE, like those three are FRIENDS and that is just... that makes me so happy. I love that Iva has Dragon and Kuma, I love that Kuma has Dragon and Iva, I love that Dragon has Iva and Kuma. And I love that they all had a hand in training Sabo. He is their legacy 🥺 he is the revolutions legacy. He carries pieces from all of them. I am so emotional over the revs. They mean everything to me.

oh my god i just finished the dark forest finally. 7/10 i suppose, i went through the first half or so of the book being really annoyed by luo ji but also enjoying the chapters where he shows up because unfortunately he was entertaining. still don't understand the imaginary girlfriend thing, it just feels like he needs someone to protect from the world which like ??? ok sure i guess, it just rubs me the wrong way personally. for the second half and especially the end i became luo ji's number one defender it's fine. for the rest, holy crap—the droplet, the microcosm of the universe on those runaway ships, the wallfacer project, luo ji drawing from rey diaz's plan, the attitude of the world towards him, the entire theory... wow
